The main division divided into five sections, explores nature, the sea, rations spooky nighttime tales and immigration. each section is illustrated by the same of five artists. Each breathes life into the metrical compositions with playful and vibrant paintings that capture the humor and lyricism of the poetry

Children's imaginations will take opposite while reading Under the satellite & Over the Sea. They will be transported to the islands as they read metrical compositions about dolphins, the beauty of turquoise beaches, its sweet commotions and drinking coconut water.

Other poetrys express some of the more unsettling aspects of Caribbean life, as it was as superstitions and natural disasters. Alan Smith's piece of poetry "Emily Hurricane" humorously personifies the storm's destructive nature: "She kept singing to me/Wouldn't you like to swim in the sky,/sail with the tree as they fare whizzing by, dance with the rooftops as they walk bubbling?/Wouldn't you like to swim in the sky"

Edited by the agency of Guyanese poets John Agard and Grace Nichols, below the Moon & Over the Sea is a rhythmic treasure trove of island experiences. Its lyrical patois and visuals make this work a delight to read.--L. J
