Amazon.com presents book buyers the option of buying a recently made known original edition of the work of their choice or a used model at a discounted price, usually displayed simultaneously, which has the Author's Guild up in arms. The Guild is urging members to de-link their websites to the online retailer, and link with other online bibliopoles especially the independents. They believe Amazon's practices are decreasing royalty payments to authors and profits to publishers. --SE
